在這場被後世史學家們定為【黑暗遠徵】前奏的戰爭中，一名並不起眼的C級傭兵也參與其中，他駕駛著一架「瓦沙克」實驗機甲，在這片混亂的戰場上進行各種獵殺任務，而他正是讓後世的史學家們爭論不休的人物【貝卡斯.夏娜姆】。（至於為何主角的名字取地如此陰陽，還需大家在遊戲中自行體會啦^o^））
