Anger of Stick is an entertaining casual game with different game modes
It’s difficult to catalog this game in a single genre. There’s a common thread: a furious stickman eager to use their fighting skills to achieve their goals. However, that goals vary in the three different game modes that available in Anger of Stick.
In Jump Jump mode, the objective is to go up to the highest by jump. Some enemies will try to stop you. Kill them to get coins that you’ll be able to use in the in-game store. Survival mode looks like a beat’em up: advance through a flat level killing all the enemies you find on your way. Upgrade weapons or you won’t get too far. Finally, Doodle Runner is a canabalt-like mode: run for as long as you can while avoiding any obstacles on the way and grabbing sacks of money.
The game is graphically simple. However, physics of the stickman when fighting are well-crafted. The effects and the blood are a plus point. It’s easy to get the hang of the screenpad: buttons for jumping, punching, kicking and shooting (depending on the game mode). Simplicity regarding both graphics and controls, but a highly addictive gameplay.
Catches: no online leaderboards, messy layout and too simple in-game store. Despite of this, recommended game
