The app was created and designed by a fellow stutterer, for children and adults who stutter. It has three

different levels. The free level allows the player to have access to what the scenario is about. The

interactive level allows the player to have 1: 1 dialogue with the game, without any interruptions. In

the demand level, the game will randomly choose up to three different outcomes. This level engages

the player in unexpected and unpredictable dialogue with interruptions from game characters

that were not in the interactive level. The demand level resembles real-life speaking situations

with background noises, side commentary and extra game characters moving about. In both the

interactive and demand levels, the player must answer each question for the game to pose a

follow-up question. The app allows the player to practice speaking in situations that a person who

stutters would typically avoid. It encourages a stutterer to like his or her name, order what they

really want to eat and step outside of their comfort zone by wearing many hats. The app should

Scenario – Drive-Thru

Free Version- The game’s screen will read “Practice ordering whatever you like”

Interactive Level – The player will arrive at a drive-thru window and the game will say, “Hello, may

I take your order?” The player can practice ordering based on the menu, or whatever they need to

practice saying.

Demand Level-The game will choose an abrupt male voice that will say, “One moment” then

the player will hear sounds as If the game character walked away. Then, a rushed female voice

will say, “Yea, what can I get ya?” After the player orders, the voice/game character will say,

“Can I get your name?” For a second choice, the player could order something that is sold out.

The game character will prompt the player to change the order. For a third choice, the game could choose for the player to be in the car with friends and he/she needs to order for himself

and for others.
