By using this app you will develop the discipline to keep your eyes up and make a visual connection with your audience. This will teach you to visually engage your audience to listen, learn and believe in what you have to share with them. When you begin your speech, different students at different intervals of time will raise their hands to see if you are keeping eye contact with your audience. If you are presenting your speech properly, you will see them raise their hand and make that connection.
By tapping the student on the screen, you will get them to put their hand down. If your eyes are buried in your paper/notecards/speech because you are reading, you force an audience member with their hand up to get up and leave the room, vocally let you know of their disapproval.
