With all the pop culture references, it gets easily lost on us that Tarot cards actually contain the Holy Grail (Ace of Cups) of the Western mystery tradition. No where else in the whole world do you find such a treasure trove of archetypal imagery as you do in the Tarot. Its characters and symbols are the animating forces of the human psyche, the reason why Shakespeare called life a ‘play’. You should learn some of these symbols… they’re the source of automatic attention! Confucius say “signs and symbols rule the world, not words or laws”… REALLY!

The TAROT can be your refuge from the many mind destroying, soul-sucking symbols of modern times. Big book writer/Director Alejandro Jordowosky calls the Tarot the “Nomad’s Cathedral” because it can be set up anywhere once you learn it. The ideas it presents are intrinsic to our nature and therefore easy to learn once taken even slightly seriously.

But its been hard for people to want to invest the time and attention in the Tarot when most of the time we are looking for clear answers to things rather than more personal speculation. Fortunately, you DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT WITH THIS APP.

Yes, that’s right, I have made the Tarot into a GAME that you PLAY with your hands. Just check out the gestures I’ve assigned to the 22 major archetypes of the Tarot. They’re really not so hard to get into! Take…Death! for example, Card 13. THUMBS DOWN, BOOOO lame example. Sorry, well what about The Devil? GOT YOUR NOSE , again? lol don’t worry about it. You can’t really lose your soul to the Devil because you ARE your soul. It can no more be taken away from you than a parent can take their child’s nose away (see ‘got your nose’ below).

Okay you following still? Great because we just tackled the two archetypes with the biggest baggage in the TAROT. That means everything is just FUN for you from here on out! Besides, your fate was always in your own hands anyway. You’ve got this! You can see and know the patterns of life, if you want.

So how does the game work exactly? Glad you asked nerd, each archetype gets an element of fire/water/air/ or earth (consider it the archetype’s pronoun mkay so you better remember it). Those elements fight it out and the Trump suit wins.
Err that’s not supposed to be political by the way. The word rump comes from ‘Triumph’ … Darn now I’m probably going to get censored for taking about Trump on this app or something. Learn ye algorithms, what I mean is our word! Triumph! Hail victory!

GET. INTO. THE SPIRIT!! That’s right, that’s why you learn the Tarot. Combine the four elements and you have the quintessence of SPIRIT! That’s lifeforce energy you’re feeling buddy. You better believe you’re going to feel a lot more of it if you start getting all enlightened/enlivened.

Enlightenment doesn’t mean your dome has to glow all the time (just wear a hat), it means you not as weighed down by things. Feel as light as the feather on the cap of the Tarot’s first card, the FOOL. He represents the total life force energy of the universe which booms into existence as a peal of somewhat monomaniacal laughter. That’s an Air (yellow) archetype by the way and the gesture is a waiving hand which is also the gesture of benediction saints make. This is the Tarot’s opening blessing to you on this journey of incredible discovery. The Fool also represents the innocence of the beginner’s mind and so much more you get to…..AHHHHHH he’s a bout to walk off a CLIFF!
